“Anger Changes You”

Hey everybody! Welcome back to Morning Thrive. We’re talking about anger and the destructiveness of anger. And you know, as I was thinking about anger, I was thinking about one of the damaging things about it is that it changes you. Anger changes you. It causes you to do things you would never do. For example, anger causes you to say things that you would never say. Think about the last argument that you had when you were really angry, when your adrenaline shot in, and you were shaking you were so angry. You tend to say some things that you later regret, call names, or make comments or statements. Listen, some of you have been victims of anger, and you’re still dealing with the repercussions of words spoken in anger that continue to echo in your mind. You’ll say things that you never say normally. Another thing is that you will do things that you would never do normally. And when you’re angry and you let anger get the best of you, you’ll react in ways that you would be ashamed of or disappointed in much later. That hole in the wall, that screeching out of the parking lot, or even worse, that laying your hands on that other person out of anger. Eventually, if you allow it, anger will turn you into someone you would not normally become. Listen, if you allow anger to get the best of you, you will become a lonely, angry, hateful, isolated person who has pushed everyone away out of your life. Listen, that’s not what God wants for you. We’ve got to deal with this anger problem, and right now. If you’re saying,” I’m seeing that in my life,” then ask God to remove this anger, so that you can become the person that He wants you to be.
