"Be Light”

Hey everybody! We’ve been talking about Halloween all week, and there’s one last thought that I want to leave with you: even though Halloween is a dark holiday, you can really show the light of how Jesus has changed your life. You know, in Ephesians 5 vs 8 it says this, “For you once were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So, live as people of light!” Just recently I’ve talked with a pastor that is in New York City, and he said that when he was a teenager he really put his family through an awful situation; He was into drugs and alcohol, he was immoral and dabbling in the occult and all those kinds of things. And it wasn’t until much later when he was reading the Bible, that God broke his heart, he was driven to his knees. He cried out to God and was saved. He became a different person. He was in darkness, but now he was in light and his life was so different. He went on to lead one of the leading churches in New York City, still today. Now, I say, because Jesus makes a dramatic change and people in darkness, they can see that change. So, this is a great opportunity to share what Jesus has done for you, and a great opportunity to invite people to church. Maybe they have had spiritual conversations, maybe they have questions and doubts. Why not say, “Come to church with me this Sunday, and let’s see what God has to say about the matter.” Alright? If you’re close to Colleyville, come to First Colleyville at 9:00 am, 10:15am or 11:30 am or go to a Bible teaching church near you. Be light this year. Have a great day.
