“Eat, Sleep and Breathe God’s Word”

Hey everybody! Welcome back to Morning Thrive. We’re talking about axioms for life and the short little statements that really make a big impact. So here is the first one, “Eat, sleep and breathe God’s Word.” You know, we are all consumed by something. Some people are consumed by their careers. Some people are consumed by sports. Some people are consumed by fashion or by technology. We all have things that we love to, eat, sleep and breathe. Right? But the axiom says “Eat, sleep and breathe God’s Word.” Why? Because when we eat, sleep and breathe God’s Word we are able to understand God’s heart and we can follow His way, that is best for us. In 2 Timothy 3:16 it says this, ”All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” It says that scripture, the Bible, is breathed out by God and it is the very words of God. It is to teach us the direction we should go, to correct us when we get off course, to reprove us and turn us around when we’ve lost our way. His words keep us on the path to follow after God. That’s what God’s Word does. So when you eat, sleep and breathe God’s Word, then you know you are walking on the right path to walking with God. So, how do you eat, sleep and breathe God’s Word? It’s pretty simple; First thing is you just listen to God’s Word, then maybe read and study God’s Word and then you meditate on and memorize God’s Word. And lastly, just live it out and obey it. When you do that it will change your life. God will work in your life. Eat, sleep and breathe God’s Word.
