Morning Thrive - "Hope"
Hey everybody! Welcome back to Morning Thrive! We’re talking about the last week of Jesus life and finding hope this Easter. After Jesus died, his body was taken by a man named Joseph of Arimathea. Joseph was a religious man. He was part of the Sanhedrin, and he was a religious leader. He had secretly been a follower of Jesus, but now he was going public. He asked Pilate for the body of Jesus, and it was given to Him. He laid Jesus’ body in a brand new tomb that Joseph had carved out of the rock. He placed the lifeless body of Jesus there wrapped in linen cloths, and then the Romans rolled a rock over the entrance to secure it. For three days, His body lay lifeless, motionless and silent. It’s almost as if hope had died. His disciples were bewildered. His family was confused. His followers were desperate, and yet in that sense of hopelessness at Jesus death, God was bringing hope! You may be in a situation where you feel completely hopeless. This marriage is dead. This job is dead. My relationship with my kids is dead. Whatever I thought had life, it’s gone! Here’s what I want you to know; what looks dead, God can breathe life back into! That’s the message of Easter! I want you to join me this Easter, and ask God to breathe life back into your home this Easter! Here’s the plan; we have four services: 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. Come and let’s celebrate the hope of Easter!
