Morning Thrive - "Love Never Fails"

“Love Never Fails”

Hey everybody! Welcome back to Morning Thrive. We’ve been talking all week about how to love our families and we have learned some really good things. We have learned that love is patient, and love is kind. We’ve said that love is not selfish, rude or self-seeking and it does not demand its own way. I want to wrap up this week with a bit of hope, because you may be listening to these and thinking, “You know, my relationships are just too far gone. There’s no way that we are ever going to get to that point. We’ve past the point of no return and there is no way to get things back on track.” I want to wrap up with these words from the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:7-8 that speak about love saying, “It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…” I love that because the word always appears four times. Love is always continuing, love is always moving forward. Love doesn’t quit. Love doesn’t throw in the towel. Love doesn’t stop short of the finish line. Love doesn’t throw up its hands say, “This is hopeless!” Love always perseveres, it keeps going, it always hopes and trusts in the best to happen. It always sacrifices and endures to the very end. That is the essence of love. Listen, that’s the kind of love God has for you. It is a love that pursues you no matter what, no matter where you’ve been, no matter what has happened, no matter how far you are from Him. He is constantly pursuing you. There is always hope, there is always a future with Him. That’s the kind of love God wants you to show to your family. So why don’t you get your family together and come to church this weekend? If you’re at First Colleyville come to 9:00 am, 10:15 am or 11:30 am, or go to a Bible teaching church and let’s learn how to love our families. Let’s ask God to love them through us. Ok? Have a great weekend.
