Morning Thrive - "Under Pressure"

 "Under Pressure"

Hey everybody!  Welcome back to Morning Thrive!  This week we’re talking about how to handle pressure.  We’ve just finished celebrating Easter, and we had an amazing weekend.  It’s so exciting to be with people like you on Easter Sunday.  It got me thinking about the life of Jesus.  Jesus handled pressure better than anyone that I know.  So many people have pressure today.  You may be like, Man! I’m crushed under deadlines at work, pressure at home, stress with my kids, financial pressure or physical problems.  Lots of things cause pressure in our lives, and many people are on medication as a result.  Pharmaceutical companies make billions of dollars because we struggle with handling pressure.  How can we handle pressure well?  That’s what we’re going to talk about this week.  We’re going to look at the life of Jesus.  On the evening before He was arrested, He was with the disciples in the upper room.  They walked down through the streets of Jerusalem, out the gate, across the Kidron Valley and up on the other side to the Mount of Olives.  They walked over to a little place called the Garden of Gethsemane.  It was there that Jesus experienced intense pressure, and He gives us an example of how you and I can handle pressure together.  If you’re under pressure, this is the right week for you.
